To access Snapshots API endpoints you will create a secure connection in GHL with the required scope saas/location.read and then connect that credential in Zapier App Connector.
Your Zapier App Connector will securely store the GHL credentials and use them to authenticate requests. Configure OAuth or API key as provided by Snapshots API and test the connection.
GET /locations — Retrieve a list of locations from your GHL account. This endpoint is defined in the CSV as Endpoint1. Additional endpoints can be added as you expand integration.
Trigger: when a new location is created in GHL, you can pull it into your Zap.
Actions: fetch location data, map fields to your Zap, and create downstream records.
GET /locations
Key fields include location_id, name, address, city, and country.
Trigger: updates or retrieval when a specific location is referenced.
Actions: retrieve a single location by ID and map details to your Zap.
GET /locations/{id}
Key fields: id, name, last_modified, status.
Trigger: search results returned for a query.
Actions: run a search and map the resulting list into Zapier.
GET /locations/search
Key fields: total_results, items[].id, items[].name, items[].location_id.
Automate workflows without writing code by wiring endpoints to triggers and actions in Zapier.
Synchronize data between GHL and other apps in real time or on a schedule.
Create dashboards and reports by feeding location data into BI tools via Zapier.
Key elements and processes used in configuring GHL to Zapier include endpoints, authentication, triggers, actions, and data mapping.
A URL path that performs an action or returns data from an API.
The process of proving identity to access a protected API using keys or OAuth.
An event in GHL that starts a Zap in Zapier.
An operation performed in GHL via a Zapier workflow.
Use the locations endpoint to automate new customer onboarding steps in your CRM.
Schedule regular data refreshes of location records to keep your systems aligned.
Aggregate location data into reports and BI dashboards via Zapier.
In Zapier, select Snapshots API as the app and add your API credentials from GHL.
Choose the location endpoints and map fields to your Zap workflow.
Run tests to verify data flow and enable automation in production.
Currently the available endpoint listed is GET /locations to fetch a list of locations. More endpoints can be enabled as you expand the integration. Use the trigger approach to start automations from new or updated locations. You can map fields easily to your Zap.
No extensive coding is required. Zapier App Connector provides a no code interface to configure triggers and actions. Some apps may require custom field mappings or transformations; the tool handles most needs without writing code.
Security is handled via API keys or OAuth tokens stored securely in the connection. Ensure credentials are kept private and rotated regularly.
Real time sync is possible with webhooks or scheduled polling depending on the endpoint capabilities. Plan for latency and rate limits when designing automations.
The API requires saas/location.read scope. Grant this scope during connection setup and store credentials securely.
Use the Test Connection feature in Zapier to verify authentication and data mapping. Check logs for errors and adjust mappings or endpoints as needed.
Refer to the Snapshots API documentation in the GHL developer portal. If documentation is limited, use the API Explorer in your GHL account for guidance.
